Life as we know it.

I hope religion is real to some extent. Like a heaven and a hell. It would suck if we just die and then…nothing. I’d rather burn in hell than cease to exist altogether. 

But no reincarnation. I don’t want to be reborn. What’s the point if you can’t even remember your past life? I want to remember this life. I didn’t go through all this pain and strife to lose it all in the end.

But whether heaven and hell exists, I just hope I’ll leave this Earth with a nice box of memories with moments of laughter, happiness, and love with family and friends. I hope I’ll meet a woman whom I will love more than anything and reciprocates that feeling. And I hope to have beautiful children to make the years worthwhile.

It’s truly about the journey. And I hope mine will be epic. 

Dear Religious Prudes,

Have you ever loved someone? Whether it was as a teenager or as an adult—have you ever loved someone?

Have you ever loved someone that some of your friends or family didn’t approve of? Because they thought you were too good for her or her too good for you or just because you don’t run in the same social circles.

I mean have you ever truly been in love despite things being against you?

Now imagine that feeling of anguish when you just want your mother or father to approve of your fiancee; but a thousandfold more.

Imagine that you love your bride or groom to be, but the whole world is against you. The whole world disapproves. And not because you’re too rich or you’re too poor—but because you’re both men. Because you’re both women. Because you couldn’t choose how you were born nor the lifestyle you live.

Imagine that everyone hates you. Imagine feeling alone in this giant world filled with billions of people because you love someone and you can’t change that. Because you can’t “fix” your gender or your partner’s gender.

Take a good hard look at your lives ya old religious crocks. Wasn’t your wedding day one of the happiest days of your lives (if not then sucks for you)? Imagine if you were walking down the aisle and then Kanye West kicks in the door and prevents you from getting married because he was obnoxiously voicing his own narrow minded opinions at you? I mean, who the fuck is he, a total random stranger, that he thinks he can ruin your wedding day right?


At the end of the day, it’s not about traditional marriage or whether or not homosexuals should be able to get married.

It’s about people. And whether or not two people who love each other should be able to express their devotion to one another through a bonding civil union.
